Balmain released its first Men's Pre-Fall collection, which came with a flashy entrance: a bomber jacket for $40,000. The jacket is embroidered with crystals and decorated with the Balmain Army slogan on the back. It is said to have taken two months to create, and so, in the sense of the painstaking execution, it could practically be couture.
“My approach was also what I want to wear myself next winter,” said Olivier Rousteing. According to the designer, the Men's collection mirrors the core elements in all the Balmain Women's collections.
