Vintage-inspired looks seem to be perennially popular&mdash;these days, '70s and '90s menswear offer particularly potent men's style inspiration&mdash;but rarely does our focus stray beyond the past century or so. The kind of ultra-formal, sophisticated menswear styles seen on the likes of Mr. Darcy's contemporaries&mdash;think Mr. Knightly in Emma and Henry Tilney in&nbsp;Northanger Abbey&mdash;has become almost foreign to the modern fashion fanatic, with the exception of&nbsp;Bridgerton, which offers Jonathan Bailey's Viscount Bridgerton as yet another Regency-era man to draw inspiration from.&nbsp;

The kind of Regency-era looks that continue to enrapture designers, stylists, and menswear novices alike incorporate the best of textile artistry from the 21st century and the early 19th century, bringing now and then into fascinating, eye-catching conversation. Modern society may not be quite ready for a full Regency-style evening suit just yet, but one piece at a time&mdash;a tailcoat here, or a bowtie there&mdash;the refined sophistication of the style seems to be prevailing, slowly but surely.&nbsp;
