The Mexican-American designer displays a colorful array of zoot suits, workwear, and contemporary cholo fashion at Paris Men's Fashion Week.

Around 80 years ago, at the heart of the Jazz Age, an audacious suit silhouette&mdash;wide shouldered, small-waisted, pegged-hem&mdash;emerged from the Harlem stages. This "zoot suit" eventually spread like wildfire among immigrant communities in America, including Mexican American men in the pachuco subculture. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/willy-chavarria">Willy Chavarria</a>&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/spring-summer-2026">Spring/Summer 2026</a> sprawling, 74-look runway show, &ldquo;Huron,&rdquo; is an ode to pachucos, whose daring fashion paved the way for the Chicano Movement of the 1960s.
In many ways, Chavarria draws elements from his past work in the Spring/Summer 2026 collection&mdash;sprinkling some workwear here, some cholo-inspired streetwear there&mdash;to craft a visual timeline of Mexican-American fashion. The <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/parisfashionweek">Men's Paris Fashion Week</a> show, set on a red carpet, begins with a flurry of colorful, oversized <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/suits">suits</a>. Pocket squares peek out the suits&rsquo; pockets, evoking an old-school chivalry. Further into the show, the contemporary cholo-style sneaks in, with knee-length wide shorts and dark tights replacing long trousers.&nbsp;
Not too long after, streetwear morphs into workwear with embroidered labels, such as &ldquo;Chavarria Community Centre.&rdquo; The keychains that first made an appearance in last year&rsquo;s Spring/Summer show are present again. The latter end of the show expands on these work labels with eponymous logomania, including one that reads, &ldquo;Justice, Honor, Integrity&mdash;Chavarria Global Unification Association.&rdquo; The designer imagines a fleet of workers tasked with making the world a better place. Some womenswear appears in this men&rsquo;s show, including cinched trench coats, vibrant dresses, and colored tights, a l&agrave; 60s mod.
The accessory and beauty details pulled the looks together and inserted a bodacious swagger to the collection. Many models donned dark sunglasses and gravity-defying updos for the runway show, named after his hometown. Several stars and supermodels walked the runway, including Paloma Elsesser, Gabriette, and football player (and Cardi B's boyfriend) Stefon Diggs.
