Malcom Todd have exploded in popularity on TikTok, but it won't be long before you see him everywhere.&nbsp;

With hit songs like "Earrings" to "Roommates," Malcolm Todd is conquering the indie pop landscape. At 22, his career has just begun&mdash;and his star quality is already showing. Between his catchy melodies and on-stage swagger, the singer has quickly become a defining presence in the industry.&nbsp;
The son of screenwriter and producer Tim Hobert, the singer grew up in the entertainment industry. As a child, Malcolm had the opportunity to cameo on&nbsp;The Middle as a baseball player in the fourth season. Malcolm&rsquo;s older sister, Audrey Hobert, is a longtime best friend and collaborator to Gracie Abrams&mdash;she even did vocals and songwriting for "The Secret of Us."&nbsp;She&nbsp;helped direct some of Abrams&rsquo; music videos.
After graduating from high school in 2022, Malcolm told his parents he wanted to take a break from school to pursue music. He got a job at Cold Stone Creamery and did music on the side&mdash;posting shamelessly on TikTok to gain momentum. Then, he started to study music production at the University of Oregon.

That same year he graduated from high school, Malcolm was already making moves. By May, he wrote, produced, and released Demos Before Prom, featuring 6 songs about young romance and heartbreak. About ten months later, Shower Shoes dropped with 6 new songs&mdash;also written and produced by Malcom himself. &ldquo;Art House&rdquo; and &ldquo;Sweet Boy&rdquo; were subsequently released, and in July 2023, Malcolm made his live debut to a sold-out crowd in his hometown, Los Angeles.&nbsp;
In 2024, the Sweet Boy mixtape was released, and Malcom took off. He opened for Omar Apollo on his North American Tour &ldquo;God Said No&rdquo;. The following year, the two collaborated, and Malcolm released &ldquo;Bleed&rdquo; in February, featuring Omar Apollo. The music video featured Harry Daniels and Jack Harlow.

His first studio album, Malcolm Todd, was released on April 4, 2025, and charted 49th on the Billboard 200. His single &ldquo;Chest Pain (I Love)&rdquo; was Malcolm&rsquo;s first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 68. Since then, the musician has become known for his blend of indie bedroom-pop and R&amp;B, drawing comparisons to artists such as Steve Lacy and Domnic Fike.
