In celebration of Meghan Markle's birthday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a date night out at a popular celebrity hotspot in Montecito.

For <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/meghan-markle-style-fashion-moments-royal-family-birthday" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Meghan Markle</a>'s birthday, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/meghan-markle-prince-harry-relationship-timeline-dating-royal-wedding-kids" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Duke and Duchess of Sussex</a> are keeping it lowkey.&nbsp;
On Wednesday night, the couple was spotted enjoying a date night out at Tre Lune, a popular restaurant in Montecito, also marking this as one of the first public outings together since the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-separation-deny-rumors" target="_blank" rel="noopener">separation rumors</a> made headlines. The couple was also joined by actor and good friend Matt Cohen for the occasion.&nbsp;
The trendy Italian restaurant has been frequented by many stars, including Justin and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/hailey-bieber-bikini-pictures-model" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hailey Bieber</a>, Kevin Costner, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kourtney-kardashian-leaving-the-kardashians-new-reality-tv-show-spinoff-travis-barker" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kourtney Kardashian</a>, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/travis-barker-kourtney-kardashian-flying-taylor-hawkins" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Travis Barker</a> &mdash; the latter of which was also at Tre Lune the same night as the Sussexes.&nbsp;

For the dinner, Markle looked glamourously chic, opting for a black and white striped dress by Posse, accessorized with strappy black sandals, and her Cult Gaia clutch. "From what I gathered, they enjoyed their food and had a nice time," a <a href="https://people.com/meghan-markle-prince-harry-step-out-dinner-montecito-hot-spot-before-duchess-birthday-7569596" target="_blank" rel="noopener">source told People</a>.
As stated earlier, in recent months there has been numerous speculation that Markle and Prince Harry are in the midst of separation &mdash; rumors that have since been denied but are still making headlines. In 2020 the couple moved to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/prince-harry-meghan-markle-montecito-mansion-on-sale-33-million" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Montecito, California</a> after <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/prince-harry-meghan-markle-stepping-down-royal-duties" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stepping down from their royal positions</a>, and currently enjoy their life on the West Coast with their two children, Archie and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/prince-harry-meghan-markle-daughter-lilibet-diana-royal-family" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lilibet</a>.
Prince Harry is still on the outs with his family, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kate-middleton-princess-diana-jewelry-earrings-king-charles-coronation-royal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">King Charles</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/rose-hanbury-and-william-alleged-affair-royal-family" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prince William</a>, as he's allegedly not on speaking terms with his brother and hardly engaged at his father's coronation earlier this year, leaving the ceremony immediately after.
"The situation with his father and brother is still very difficult for him,&rdquo; a <a href="https://people.com/meghan-markle-softer-approach-prince-harry-family-focus-prince-archie-princess-lilibet-exclusive-7568244" target="_blank" rel="noopener">source told People</a>. "Meghan is always supportive of it though. She used to be negative about it. It seems she has kind of moved on now."

The source continued, stating the couple "just wants to focus on their kids and their life in Montecito" and "are very united when it comes to family values and how to raise their kids."
Their focus on their children and enjoying time as a family has not completely separated them from the media attention, however. Beyond the (denied) separation rumors, Markle and Prince Harry's $20 million <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/meghan-markle-prince-harry-spotify-deal-collapse-drama-details-explained-archetypes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">partnership collapse with Spotify</a> was the talk of the town for weeks, being publicly criticized by executive Bill Simmons and scrutinized for allegedly not producing enough episodes of their podcast, Archetypes. Adding to the heat is Prince Harry's ongoing lawsuit against The Sun,&nbsp;as he's suing the British published for defamation.&nbsp;
That said, the couple has also received some more positive press of late, recently announcing the recipients of the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund grants, an initiative co-founded by the couple's organization Archewell Foundation.
