Prince Philip has been in the public eye his whole life, dating back to over a century ago.

Even before finding his way to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/royal-dress-code-rules-queen-elizabeth-kate-middleton" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Buckingham Palace</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/queen-elizabeth-secrets-coronation-dress-king-charles-royal-family" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prince Philip</a> has always been in the public eye. He grew up Greek and Danish royalty, born in 1921 and raised on the island of Corfu, Greece.&nbsp;The prince then met <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/politics-culture/queen-elizabeth-young-photos-wedding-coronation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Queen Elizabeth II</a> (a princess herself at the time) at a wedding in 1934. A bit over ten years later, the couple announced their engagement in 1947 and got <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/princess-diana-royal-wedding-dress-tiara-80s-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">married</a> that same year.
The two have since spent a lifetime together on the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/best-fashion-moments-king-charles-coronation-looks-royal-family-queen-camilla" target="_blank" rel="noopener">royal throne</a>, and the Duke of Edinburgh only recently passed away in 2021 at the age of 99.
