Talita von Furstenberg is officially calling New York home. The young student—currently at New York University, after two years at Georgetown—was holed up at fashion-favorite hotspot La Mercerie yesterday afternoon, one of many chic young women wearing flirty pastel and floral print dresses. Just about everyone in the dreamy downtown space donned TVF for DVF, von Furstenberg’s latest capsule collection with none other than her grandmother, Diane. Even von Furstenberg’s boyfriend, Rocco de Brabant Brignone, was there to support, wearing his own version of a TVF sage green print in the form of a pocket square.
This is the younger von Furstenberg’s second collaboration with her grandmother, a fall capsule featuring 19 floaty and romantic pieces inspired by time spent in Connecticut countryside with family. Created specifically with her millennial friends in mind, who are balancing school, meetings, and evenings out, each piece is equal parts easy-to-wear and playful.
As the crowd of models, family, and friends sat down for lunch, one eagle-eyed guest noticed the napkins on each plate were created from the same butterfly fabric as one of von Furstenberg’s pretty frocks. “Don’t get those napkins dirty,” joked Brianna Lance. “I want them for my home!” the young fashion talent added.
