Max Mara Creative Director Ian Griffiths presented a resort collection that blended heritage and tailored elegance.

At the Royal Palace of Caserta&mdash;a masterpiece by architect Luigi Vanvitelli and a symbol of Bourbon opulence&mdash;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/maxmara" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Max Mara</a> unveiled its <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/cruise-2026" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Resort 2026</a> collection, which was a sartorial story woven with precise tailoring and intentional nods to Neapolitan style. Models glided between the grand Royal Staircase and the opulence of the Throne Room, wearing a procession of minimalist <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/suits">suits</a>, airy capes, and sleek silhouettes that brought a quiet sense of modernity to one of the 18th century&rsquo;s most majestic palaces.
As <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Max Mara</a> Creative Director Ian Griffiths explains, this resort collection is a dialogue between structure and softness, aristocratic memory and contemporary life. Luxurious fabrics&mdash;like fluid wools and silks printed with delicate E. Marinella micro-motifs, a historic hallmark of Neapolitan neckwear&mdash;adorn shirts and scarves, creating a refined balance of masculine elegance and feminine ease. Accessories, especially hats, elevated outfits on the catwalk.
For the runway show, the Royal Palace in Italy wasn't just a scenic backdrop&mdash;it also became a central character in the collection&rsquo;s narrative. In the same corridors where Lucio Amelio&rsquo;s Terrae Motus art collection places Andy Warhol and Keith Haring in conversation with Baroque frescoes, Max Mara introduces monastic capes and relaxed suiting in a palette of powdery beige, soft pearl grey, and accents of royal blue.
Front row guests at the show included stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Alexa Chung, Nicky HIlton, Joey King, and more.
