<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Known for experimental inspirations and top-notch tailoring, the world of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/impressive-bridal-gowns-spring-summer-2021-haute-couture" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Haute Couture</a> is one of style, exclusivity, and whimsicality. Overseen by the French governing body</span> <a href="https://fhcm.paris/en/the-federation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">F&eacute;d&eacute;ration de la Haute Couture et de la Mode</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, the designation of "haute couture" is not given out easily. To earn the title, fashion houses must meet a strict set of criteria: they must maintain an atelier in Paris with at least 15 full-time staff members and 20 technical artisans; offer made-to-measure garments for private clients with multiple fittings; and present a minimum of 50 original looks&mdash;both daywear and eveningwear&mdash;each season during the official Haute Couture weeks in January and July. These regulations ensure that haute couture remains not only the pinnacle of fashion but also a rarefied art form.</span></p>

<p>Schiaparelli&rsquo;s Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture collection was nothing short of a spectacle&mdash;one of the most avant-garde and talked-about runway moments in recent memory. The show made headlines for its surreal, hyperrealistic faux animal head designs that blurred the line between art and fashion. In Look 10, Shalom Harlow stunned in a hand-painted wool and silk bustier dress featuring a snow leopard head protruding from her chest. Irina Shayk followed in Look 15 with the lion-head creation famously worn by Kylie Jenner, while Naomi Campbell closed the show in Look 30, donning a faux-fur coat with a massive wolf head on her shoulder. Though the collection offered a wealth of intricate, conversation-worthy pieces, it was these dramatic animal motifs that dominated post-show discourse.</p>
