The four-day fashion event presented an elegant selection of alter-ready looks that scream "Here Comes the Bride."

Throughout the past week, a plethora of Haute Couture suits, dresses, and accessories made their way through runways across Paris (and Rome, thanks to Fendi's collection). Nevertheless, a definitive element of the week was none other than the bridal look.
Ever since Charles Frederick Worth founded the Worth brand in 1858, the ways that custom-fitted high-end fashion has transformed are beyond this world. Considered the first true Couture house, Worth created a wedding gown worn by Consuelo Vanderbilt at her 1895 wedding to the Duke of Marlborough. Afterward, brands like Mainbocher, Lanvin, and Vionnet began to include bridal, mother-of-the-bride, and bridesmaid garments that became staples in their collections.
With the start of World War II, many houses closed their doors as fabrics went to the war effort. But in the late 1940s and '50s, the industry was back and better than ever. Designers like Balmain, Fath, and Griffe commenced the tradition of closing each Couture show with a wedding dress. Over 70 years later, talents like Matthieu Blazy, Pierpaolo Piccioli, and Maria Grazia Chiuri have modernized what we consider bridal wear to be for Fall/Winter 2026.
Jonathan Anderson presented a lovely sheer white gown with leaf detailing throughout. When the look appeared at the end of the Dior Haute Couture show, many believed that the Irish creative director designed something similar for Taylor Swift's massively popular ceremony.

Although many houses continue the enduring legacy of closing a show with a bridal look, Matthieu Blazy decided to honor Gabrielle Chanel in a meaningful way. Yes, the French-Belgian creative director presented a stunning mermaid-tale dress with a long veil, bouquet, and a pair of dual-tone shoes. But the revenge dress, an all-black ensemble with feather detailing, took the bride's spot in the collection.&nbsp;
As Piccioli closed out his premiere Couture collection, supermodel Anok Yai wore an oversized, thick long-sleeve dress with elegant brown accessories, bringing some natural color to a special occasion like a wedding. Even though both Duran Lantink and Chiuri joined Blazy in departing from tradition, they still wore white outfits befitting matrimony.
Sculpture, technology, and the well-known silhouette of Marie Antoinette's dress led Jean Paul Gaultier's Haute Couture collection. From designs that jump from outside the wearer's body to a simple dress that features a statement-making headpiece, Lantink still honored the long tradition in his own way. Similarly, Chiuri presented a slew of cream-and-white looks while also showing a black dress at the end of her Couture debut. Caftans, suits, and textured capes are a part of the new wave of bridal.
Regardless of what's on your mind, Paris Haute Couture Week is always a great place to find inspiration for your own special day. Whether you want to follow a conventional silhouette with exquisite detailing or sport a style that has defined the season, these styles are the current leaders in bridalwear.
