Spanish jewelry designers Andresgallardo and Levens Jewels dazzle on the Carolina Herrera runway.

Wes Gordon brought Carolina Herrera&rsquo;s Spring/Summer 2026 show to Madrid, transforming Plaza Mayor into a luminous Herrera-pink runway that traced five centuries of Spanish history. Models in&nbsp;Infanta-sized tiered gowns, flounced chulapa dresses, and slim trousers echoing the pantal&oacute;n goyesco sailed from the 17th-century Golden Age to the punk rock-fueled vibrancy of the 1980s La Movida movement. Porcelain and glass jewelry by Spanish makers Andresgallardo and Levens Jewels punctuated a galleon of rich textures, from golden carnation jacquard crepe to mantilla-like lace trims, infusing historical craft into contemporary design.
Andresgallardo, founded in Madrid in 2011 by Andr&eacute;s Gallardo and Marina Casal, began by upcycling old porcelain trinkets and now preserves traditional porcelain-making techniques by working with skilled artisans in Valencia to hand-sculpt contemporary forms. For this collaboration, the duo drew inspiration from the Spanish capital&rsquo;s iconic red carnation, worn in hair and buttonholes during the San Isidro festival, fashioning brooches, pendants, and oversized stud earrings, petal by petal. Similarly, actor and artist Mar del Hoyo&rsquo;s Levens Jewels, launched in 2017, preserves the Iberian craft of handblown glass through her Barcelona studio. For the runway, del Hoyo enhanced her signature rose, hibiscus, and dewdrop motifs with very Herrera-style pearls, creating translucent drop earrings and necklaces that catch the light like miniature sculpture gardens.
