Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière has made combining fashion, art, and architecture a hallmark of the French fashion house, and he’s sure to bring the fields together once more for Louis Vuitton Cruise 2019. And like Dior, Ghesquière too is showing Vuitton’s resort collection back to France after a long string of destination défilés.
The show will be held at the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the Côte d’Azur. Designed by architect Josep Lluís Sert in 1964, it houses one of the most impressive collections of contemporary art in the world.
Last year’s Vuitton Resort show was presented against the angular and prismatic splendor of Japan’s Miho Museum, where Ghesquière explored cultural art techniques that could be easily identified throughout the range. To say we're excited about the show would be a severe understatement.
