The Dior newspaper print dress is one of the most memorable pieces of the entire HBO series.

There's no denying that the wardrobe for <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/best-fashion-moments-from-sex-and-the-city-hbo-max-reboot" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sex and the City</a>&nbsp;are one of the most memorable and iconic in the history of television. The looks of the main character Carrie Bradshaw, played by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/sarah-jessica-parker-sex-and-the-city-revival-and-just-like-that-script-instagram" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sarah Jessica Parker</a>, marked the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/y2k-revival-covid-19-pandemic-tiktok-gen-z-fashion-music-film-tv" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2000s</a> and are still a source of references to this day. The person responsible for designing the clothes in the series is none other than costume designer Patricia Field, who was also known for other important works such as The Devil Wears Prada, Ugly Betty, and Emily in Paris.
One of Field's looks which ended up conquering the fashion world was the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/sarah-jessica-parker-favorite-sex-and-the-city-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dior newspaper-print dress</a> signed by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/john-galliano-christian-dior-best-moments-designer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">John Galliano</a>, the then-creative director of the French brand. The piece is part of the "Hobo Chic" collection, launched in 2000.
Of course, this is not the first time that a designer has been inspired by prints to take fashion. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/female-founded-fashion-houses-coco-chanel-chloe-lanvin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Elsa Schiaparelli</a> had made a dress from newspaper clippings in 1935, long before Galliano was even born. In addition to her, Diane von F&uuml;rstenberg and Versace also made their own versions.
Now, an American clothing brand, Reformation, launches its reinterpretation that should appeal to Sex and the City fans. But unlike other brands, it decided to take a more conscious approach to the subject by printing headlines like "Hell Freezes" and "World Peace Achieved," in addition to using recycled fabrics and ecological materials and reusing leftovers created during the manufacturing process.
