The model, musician, and tastemaker takes L'OFFICIEL inside Jonathan Anderson's debut Cruise show for Dior.&nbsp;

After spending nearly two decades walking the runways, Soo Joo Park is exploring a new point of view. This time around, she's taking in the glitz and the glamour of one of fashion's most anticipated moments of the season&mdash;Jonathan Anderson's first Cruise show for Dior&mdash;from the front row. While the cruise season typically sees the industry's leading models, editors, tastemakers, and celebrites jetting across the world for runway presentations, Park, a resident of Los Angeles, didn't have to go far for this one.&nbsp;
Below, see our full conversation with Park ahead of her appearance at Dior's highly anticipated Cruise 2027 show.&nbsp;

L'OFFICIEL: How did you decide on your look for the show? To you, what makes&nbsp;for&nbsp;the perfect front-row outfit?
SOO JOO PARK: During my Dior fitting, I immediately gravitated toward a look composed of a button-down shirt and a sculptural skirt-short silhouette in a floral print set against a warm gray background. It felt instinctively right for the setting. I loved the tension between the softness of the floral print and the sobriety of the architecture surrounding the show, almost like flowers growing through a concrete garden. The gray subtly echoed the concrete itself, while the silhouette balanced precision with femininity in a way I&rsquo;ve always connected to personally. This, paired with the cutest pink kitten heels with bows:&nbsp;tr&egrave;s Dior.
L'O:&nbsp;Can you walk us through your getting-ready process? What are the small rituals or details that make you feel most like yourself before a big event like this?
SJP: Part of my perhaps menial and slightly boring (but absolutely required) ritual after checking into a hotel is immediately unpacking all my beauty and cleansing products. For some reason, laying everything out instantly makes me feel calmer, less anxious, and more grounded. I also love taking baths after long flights. My favorite bath oil is Moroccan Rose from redflower, and if I&rsquo;m checking luggage, I&rsquo;ll usually bring Nourishing Jade Scrub &amp; Soak from AMAN. It hydrates and soothes my skin after travel, and the scent is amazing.
L'O: How does Dior fit into your personal style? Are there any pieces from the maison that are staples in your wardrobe?
SJP: My relationship with Dior is actually very new, which makes this moment especially exciting. Of course, the house&rsquo;s history and codes are iconic, and Jonathan Anderson is paving his own path, collection by collection; I&rsquo;m enjoying discovering what resonates with me personally and how it integrates into my own evolving style language.

L'O:&nbsp;Dior is coming to Los Angeles for this season&rsquo;s cruise show. As someone who grew up in California, how do you think about the city's relationship to art, fashion, and design?&nbsp;
SJP: I moved back to Los Angeles after living in New York for over a decade, and lately I&rsquo;ve been thinking a lot about the relationship between fashion, architecture, and atmosphere. I&rsquo;m currently renovating my home here as well, so design has completely consumed my brain in every possible way lately&mdash;materials, proportions, textures, light, mood. A couple of weeks ago, I visited the newly opened Geffen galleries and was completely speechless. I studied architecture as an undergraduate and have admired Peter Zumthor for years, so seeing that masterful use of concrete in Los Angeles, carrying centuries of archive, culture, and art within it, felt incredibly moving. It really feels like one of those moments in city history.
L'O: Cruise/resort collections are all about travel. As someone who&rsquo;s traveled quite a bit across her career, what does it mean to you, either as a ritual in relaxation or an opportunity for exploration?&nbsp;
SJP: I travel constantly for work, but I genuinely love traveling and exploring. Wherever I land, I always try to visit local museums or spend time wandering through architecture and neighborhoods. Recently, I was in Barcelona for only a day and a half, but I still made time for the Joan Mir&oacute; museum and walking past Gaud&iacute;&rsquo;s buildings. Someone I admire very much (she&rsquo;s everyone&rsquo;s style muse and icon) once gave me a pack of Astier de Villatte incense while we were on a holiday, and I remember thinking it was such a beautiful way to evoke the senses and create familiarity no matter where you are in the world. Since then, I have always carried incense in my suitcase.&nbsp;

L'O: How do you use fashion to tell your own story, represent your heritage, or express yourself?
SJP: My philosophy with style has always been not to be afraid of having fun. I think fashion becomes most interesting when you fully commit to a feeling, a character, or an inspiration. It can be such a powerful form of storytelling and self-expression.
L'O: Have you felt your style shift since the beginning of your career to now? How would you define that evolution? Are there any memorable fashion eras from your past that you look back on fondly?
SJP: My style has definitely evolved over the years, though I think there are certain instincts that have remained consistent. What&rsquo;s funny now is realizing I&rsquo;ve lived long enough to watch entire fashion eras return. Seeing younger people rediscover Y2K has been surreal, and I have a feeling the indie sleaze/blog-rock era is next: military jackets, newsboy hats, all of it. There&rsquo;s something charming about watching nostalgia continuously reshape itself for a new generation.
