'70s Chic&nbsp;

What happens when the flower child, hippy-chic fashions of the '70s meets contemporary, Scandi-chic? Style magic. There is no question that <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/boho-girl-style-fashion-trend-come-back-70s-y2k">boho-chic</a> is back and much of this aesthetic takes inspiration from hippy culture. Earthy tones, corduroy, hobo style bags, bell-bottom pants, folksy motifs, psychedelic prints, patchwork, knits, and crochets, the trend evokes a whimsical, sometimes slightly disheveled but still stylish aesthetic that encapsulates the laid-back, one with nature, peace-loving romanticism of the era. Amidst all the sleek, sharp, clean lines of our <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/fendi-spring-summer-2022-campaign">modern fashion</a>, this is one trend that seems to have transcended time, providing a touch of retro nostalgia that whisks us right back to the summer of love. Western Americana&nbsp;

Elements of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/new-americana-artists-of-color-reclaiming-the-old-frontier-2019">Americana</a> present themselves with visages of the Old West. Fringe, denim, cowboy hats and boots, rivets, and eyelet details as well as leather and snakeskin print featured on ultra-chic, head-turning, statement street style ensembles. Though reminiscent of yesteryear, many of the innovative looks showcased contemporary silhouettes, quirky mixed prints, and bold, vibrant, eye-catching hues for a fresh, fun twist on this timeless, classic aesthetic.&nbsp;

Retro Athleisure&nbsp;

'50s varsity jackets, color blocking, and windbreakers, the attendees at <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/brands-to-know-from-copenhagen-fashion-week">Copenhagen Fashion Week</a> took the ever-popular, athleisure trend back to its beginnings with these Insta-worthy, retro-sporty-chic looks. Bursts of color, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/80s-beauty-makeup-trends-editorial">'80s</a> sweatband, and hints of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/young-kate-moss-90s-style-runway">'90s</a> hip-hop street culture created some effortlessly cool, trendy outfits that were brimming with personality. A creative twist presented itself in some of the ensembles, perfectly balancing sporty with the feminine. Rugged cargo pants were seen teamed with pointed, neon heels and in another look, with the ever dainty, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/lady-dior-bag-2019">Lady Dior bag.</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;

Monochrome with a Twist

Leave it to the fashion-forward guests at CFW to put a unique spin on the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/how-to-wear-monochrome-winter-2021-color-trends">monochrome</a> trend. Various textures, textiles, prints, and tones came together to create an eclectic array of monochromatic looks that proved that with a little imagination, this trend can be anything but basic. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/how-to-wear-denim-on-denim-layers">Denim on denim</a> in different washes, mixed textiles, classic check prints, and shades of green were the go-tos.&nbsp;&nbsp;

There was no lack of color at CFW but one vivid hue stood out amongst the rest. Though it may not be the first color that comes to mind when one thinks of street style, these <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/y2k-hot-pink-millennial-pink-trend-meaning">pink</a> shades are perfect for adding a pop of flirty, fun color to an edgier, street-style outfit. The deliciously vibrant, girlishly vintage, bubblegum-barbie hue worked beautifully well with both retro-feel and contemporary street ensembles. It was seen on a wide-legged, cargo-style pant, a quilted, sportswear-esque jacket, and an oversized, leather bomber jacket, which was teamed with pink-tinged, baggy, camo print joggers to match.&nbsp;&nbsp; Street-chic aside, this is also a great color to reach for to add a dose of vintage to a look. A nod to the Y2K Barbie aesthetic, bubblegum pinks also wink at the more distant '50s. Think soda shops and sock hops.&nbsp;&nbsp;
