These Ultra-Chic Celebrity Looks Prove Leopard Print is Back

Another facet of Y2K fashion is back with the leopard print renaissance, and this time, it's celebrity-approved.

Although it seems leopard print has been making a slow comeback in recent years, as seen on some of our favorite celebrities and style icons, the polarizing animal print motif is back in full force in 2024. Earlier this year, as we saw the rise of the mob wife trend—you can thank TikTok for that one—leopard print has been cropping up everywhere, from the runways and street style looks of many celebrity icons. Most recently, Rihanna stunned in the print, proving that it truly is back, because as we all know, once Rihanna joins in on a trend, it's here to stay, and leopard print is no different.

While you may still associate the bold animal print with the likes of Jersey Shore and your mother's closet from ten years ago, we're here to remind you that fashion is cyclical, and although many of our favorite designers are drawing inspiration from Y2K-esque looks in their push for the leopard print renaissance, the final pieces, as presented on the Spring/Summer 2024 and Fall/Winter 2024 runways reflect an elevated, modern take on the pattern.

While many designers featured the print as the bold central focus of their runway looks, others concentrated on smaller-scale details, as seen in Wales Bonner's shoe collaboration with Adidas, which sold out in an instant.

Whether you opt to sport the leopard print trend in an ironic indie sleaze way or as an homage to the glitz and glamour of decades past, enjoy peace of mind in knowing there is truly no wrong way to style the print.

Still not convinced? See how some of our favorite celebrities and style icons have worn the print in recent months, with looks ranging from Dua Lipa's chic, but subtle leopard print bag to Kendall Jenner's sequined bodycon leopard print dress.
