<p>From classic talents to dazzling newcomers, explore this year's set of winners.</p>

<p>We've missed you so much, awards season. The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards have officially kicked off the era, and every chronically online and pop-cultured person is here for it.</p>
<p>From June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, the best in American prime time television are selected by the Academy of Television Arts &amp; Sciences. Those nominated across well over 100 craft and specialized categories are honored either at the Creative Arts Emmys (this year held on September 5 and 6), off-screen, or at the main ceremony.&nbsp;</p>
<p>This year, the Emmys removed five categories from the main celebration due to broadcasting restrictions. Held at the Peacock Theater, some of the industry's most notable and brightest stars joined together to celebrate the year's massive success across different genres, themes, and areas.</p>
<p>Hosting the ceremony is none other than actress Mariska Hargitay, who is best known for playing Olivia Benson on NBC's <em>Law &amp; Order: Special Victims Unit</em>. Not only is she the first woman to host the event in 15 years, but she also snagged two awards for her documentary <em>My Mom Jayne</em>.</p>
<p>Speaking of first times, Meg Stalter, Chase Infiniti, and Charles Melton are just some of the incoming classics that earned their first Emmy nominations this time around. On the opposite end, Jean Smart had a shot of becoming the first woman to win an Emmy for every season of a show. And she did just that.</p>
<p><em>The Pitt</em> leads the pack with 25 nominations, with <em>Hacks</em> at 24, <em>Widow's Bay</em> at 19, <em>Pluribus</em> at 18, and <em>Beef</em> at 16. Outside of the series realm, Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show was nominated for a record-breaking nine nods, which ultimately took home seven, becoming the most awarded show ever.</p>
<p>Needless to say, the night had many highlights that will become the norm on our social media feeds for the next couple of weeks. This hint of award season seems quite promising, which only increases the excitement for other ceremonies in the coming months.</p>
