Having studied drama at Yale University, Streep graduated in 1975 and made her <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/the-great-gatsby-musical-broadway" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Broadway</a> debut that same year in Trelawny of the "Wells.&rdquo; Streep&rsquo;s breakout role, however, was in the 1978 film The Deer Hunter.
