A decade after its publishing, Canadian author Elle Kennedy's hockey romance Off-Campus is getting a TV adaptation. The series, with Kennedy as a producer,&nbsp;is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 13 with all episodes dropping at the same time. Given the smashing success of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/heated-rivalry-season-2-release-date-episodes-cast" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Heated Rivalry</a> last year, it doesn't come as a surprise that Prime Video would want to throw its hat in the ring with Louisa Levy as showrunner, and that it has already been renewed for a second season.
With this project, Levy tells&nbsp;<a href="https://www.teenvogue.com/story/off-campus-first-look-exclusive-interviews">Teen Vogue</a>, she aims to capture that idyllic essence of the college years, and to provide something that could be aspirational for high schoolers watching. As a former ballet dancer who "devoured" the books when they came out, adapting this beloved series seemed more exciting than daunting to Levy.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">Off-Campus&nbsp;Plot</h2>

Based on the 2015 books by Elle Kennedy, Off-Campus follows the men's ice hockey team at the fictional Briar University in Massachusetts. In the same vein as Netflix's Bridgerton, each book and season will focus on one player and their respective romance while taking time to develop relationships amongst the other characters.
The first season is based on&nbsp;The Deal, which follows the unlikely love between shy songwriter Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and all-star hockey captain Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli).&nbsp;Seemingly worlds apart, the two cross paths when the classical music major offers to tutor the popular jock in exchange for making her crush, Justin Kohl (Josh Heuston), jealous. Naturally, the lines become blurred when Hannah and Garret's fake dating scheme becomes something much more genuine than either of them anticipated.
