The actor, screenwriter, and movie producer first came into the spotlight in the 1988 film Mystic Pizza where he played the role of Steamer. Though his character was minor, his performance was memorable and launched the beginning of a remarkable career. The actor began to become a little more noticeable in the industry after playing the role of Andrew Ilario in the film Courage Under Fire, where he was able to act in a scene alongside <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/john-david-washington-zendaya-malcolm-marie-denzel-movies-age" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Denzel Washington</a> and received great reviews from critics who marked his performance as &ldquo;impressive.&rdquo;
Damon&rsquo;s major breakthrough came in 1997 when he co-wrote the screenplay Good Will Hunting with his longtime friend <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/jennifer-lopez-ben-affleck-relationship-timeline-reunited" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ben Affleck</a>. Damon is still very involved in the acting world.
