The 'Riverdale' star talks his signature style and love for Virgil Abloh in an exclusive interview with L'Officiel USA.

Charles Melton has had a big year. Season 3&nbsp;of Riverdale, his second on the show after taking over the role of Reggie from Ross Butler, has continued to elevate his platform among Gen-Z fans, and&nbsp;he also landed a lead in&nbsp;The Sun is Also a Star&nbsp;alongside Yara Shahidi. Additionally, the actor was part of perhaps one of the most talked-about videos of the year when he made a cameo in Ariana Grande&#39;s &quot;break up with your girlfriend, i&#39;m bored.&quot; If anyone defines the current cultural moment, it&#39;s Melton.

But before he became a regular presence both onscreen and in the hearts of young CW fans everywhere, Melton started his career as a model. Throughout the early 2010s, he starred in editorials at several publications as well as working with Kenneth Cole and several up-and-coming designers. While a brief appearance on&nbsp;American Horror Story: Hotel&nbsp;marked the start of his shift into film &amp; TV, the star knows how to work for the camera and thus was a natural choice to cover&nbsp;the Saks Men&#39;s Fashion Book for&nbsp;Fall 2019. In the photos, the actor shows off some expert tailoring as he poses on a sunny rooftop, giving both fans and fashion people something to be excited about.

With&nbsp;Riverdale&#39;s Season 4 premiere just a few weeks away, Melton&#39;s life is about to get a lot busier as he walks red carpets and gives the world further insight into the show&#39;s latest episodes. Obviously, having style together from head to toe makes that process easier, so the actor spoke exclusively with&nbsp;L&#39;Officiel USA&nbsp;about his fashion staples, his love for collaboration, and the perfect shoe for every occasion.

What is your favorite fall trend?

I like being able to layer in the fall.

&nbsp;

What style staples are on your must-have list for the fall?

Dope hoodies, a nice pair of chucks, and black Levi&rsquo;s 511s.

&nbsp;

How would you describe your signature style?

I like to feel comfortable and be able to break out into a full sprint in order to save someone&rsquo;s life, so I would say athleisure.

What has your experience been like working with Saks for their Fall 2019 Fashion Book?

It was exciting to collaborate with Saks and peruse their menswear.

&nbsp;

Do you have any favorite brands?&nbsp;

There isn&rsquo;t one brand in particular.&nbsp;It really depends on the season and usually what I see professional athletes wearing.&nbsp;Virgil Abloh is great.&nbsp;I love how he expresses his artistry through fashion.&nbsp;It&rsquo;s ever-evolving.

What is your go-to everyday shoe?

Chucks.

Adidas and limited-edition collaborations with streetwear brands.

What is your ideal outfit when heading to and from set for Riverdale?

I like to be comfortable and would put on an Adidas sweatsuit.

What shoes from the new Saks men&#39;s shoe&nbsp;department would Reggie want to wear?&nbsp;
