In recent weeks, the Knicks backup has showed the world that he is one of the best dressed players in the NBA.

When Tyler Kolek signed with the New York Knicks on July 5, 2024, the trajectory of his basketball career would change forever. The Rhode Island native grew up with the American sport, specifically with his father and older brother having experience at the undergraduate level.
After starting his college career at George Mason, Kolek transferred to Marquette and went on to earn many accolades. Subsequently, he was the 34th overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft by the Portland Trail Blazers and was shortly thereafter traded to the Knicks. Let's just say, we're glad this happened.
From his October 22 debut against the Boston Celtics to his massive contribution towards a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kolek is on the rise not just in the world of basketball, but of fashion too. As the Christmas Day 2025 game finally arrived, the Knicks were more than ready to defeat the Cavaliers. This became possible due to Kolek contributing 11 points in the fourth quarter, resulting in a victory for the New York team. To celebrate, the player wore a white knit Puma bomber jacket with red, blue, and green colorways that formed the Statue of Liberty and "NY," dark-wash denim, and a pair of cream shoes postgame.

Back in February, Instagram sports style account @leaguefits posted a variety of images showcasing Kolek's style. Notably, this outfit is composed of a chic navy blue and white-printed cardigan, a staple white T-shirt, distressed gray denim, and white sneakers right out of the box. For the colder climate, Kolek sure knows how to make a statement while keeping warm and cozy.

In the same post, @leaguefits highlighted a well-known fashion moment of Kolek's from earlier in the season. This photo shows the player sporting a Miu Miu navy-blue-and-white striped long-sleeve polo, cargo-style jeans, and fresh white shoes. Even though Kolek would change into his Knicks gear, arriving on the court in style is always an added benefit.

Just a few days later, Kolek posted to his Instagram an outfit that solidified his up-and-coming fashion status. As he heads to the court, he wears a white graphic T-shirt, a pebbled leather jacket, washed black-brown jeans, and platform black shoes with green and orange lacing. To top it off, his signature Wall Street combover and bold determination makes the ensemble one to remember.

Do you love the Marty Supreme jacket? Do you love the Knicks? Well, if you combine both of these two passions, you would get Kolek holding a pair of his own Puma Hali 1 PE's while wearing a Knicks-colorway jacket, black pants, white, gray, and green sneakers. Created by designer Doni Nahmias, the Marty Supreme jacket is a symbol not just to actor Timotheé Chalamet's vast love for the team, but the enduring spirit of athleticism Kolek portrays on-and-off the court.

While preparing for the playoffs in April, the Knicks braced to make it far as they could. But, in Kolek's standpoint, comfort and style were crucial for the "lock in." A heather gray collared jacket, white T-shirt, baggy black jeans, hardshell black bag, and brown-olive sneakers solidified that viewpoint to the max.

On April 27, the Knicks went against the Detroit Pistons and ultimately won (both the game and style-wise). In an interview with @thepeoplegallery_ on Instagram, Kolek said that his outfit was made up of a BOSS brown suede jacket, a pair of Prison Blues jeans, Rolex watch, Dries Van Noten brown shoes, and a soft brown Margaux bag from The Row. Needless to say, the basketball player has leveled up in the fashion department.

To whoever said that men's fashion is boring, here's the proof that you're wrong. The day after the Knicks won the game against the Cavaliers and were headed to the NBA Finals since 1999, Kolek celebrated in his own manner: slam dunking with a fire outfit. An Avirex G1 leather jacket, black dress pants, black shoes, crinkled patent black loafers, and a slouchy black handbag is everything fashion fans have been asking of athletes for quite some time.

For the celebrations surrounding the NBA Eastern Conference Championship win, Kolek spiced up what one would consider party gear. A classic white button-up, red tie, and black blazer are paired with a pair of blue jeans and black footwear. Is it safe to say that Kolek is becoming a fashion icon right before our eyes? Yes, it most definitely is.

What would be considered a basketball player's version of the Met Gala, Kolek, with the help of Brooklyn-based designer and stylist Olivier Rogers, has amped up the fashion stakes by a thousand. When he arrived at Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs, Kolek was seen wearing a vintage black squared-embossed Issey Miyake jacket, washed-out Prada jeans, and black Chanel boots. In other words, the NBA better watch out for Kolek because his style is truly an unstoppable force.
