The renowned designer announced Oct. 17 that she is bidding adieu to the maison.&nbsp;

After nearly four decades as the lead Artistic Director of Menswear for Herm&egrave;s, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/veronique-nichanian-hermes-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">V&egrave;ronique Nichanian</a> announced that she is leaving her longtime role&mdash;Nichanian was one of the longest standing design leaders in the industry.&nbsp;
"I have decided that I will be presenting my final collection for the house on January 24th of next year. Working for Herm&egrave;s since 1988 has been an immense pleasure. I am very proud to be part of this big family in which I have been able to flourish and enjoy total creative freedom," Nichanian said in a release.&nbsp;
"As someone attached to work of the hand and attentive to the emotion of a garment, I have continuously sought to reinvent my approach to the v&ecirc;tement-objet by developing a contemporary wardrobe where materials are mixed, techniques are combined, and innovation and heritage are brought together. To me, there is not an Herm&egrave;s man; there are Herm&egrave;s men," Nichanian continued. The longtime artistic director also thanked the Herm&egrave;s team and her studio.&nbsp;
Though her time at H&egrave;rmes, Nichanian leaves behind a legacy of technical excellence, visionary artistry, and classically elegant masculine designs&mdash;fused with the designer's iconic playful, innovative spirit.&nbsp;
As expressed in her statement, Nichanian's last collection for the maison will be presented on Jan. 24, 2026. Currently, Herm&egrave;s has not announced a successor to lead the menswear collections.&nbsp;
