Following "Django Jane" and "Make Me Feel," the latest drop in Janelle Monáe's anticipated album is her most festive, feminist, and sexual yet. "PYNK" feautres synth-pop singer and producer Grimes, who previously collaborated with Monáe for "Venus Fly," back in 2015. Today, Monáe also shared a monochromatic pink music video starring, you guessed it, Tessa Thompson. The Thor: Ragnarok actress has been at the center of attention in Monáe's previous two videos as her love interest.
In the video directed by Emma Westenberg, Monáe led a group of women in the dessert wearing yonic harem-like pants, while Thompson shyly takes a peak in between the singer's legs (or "lips"). "PYNK is a brash celebration of creation. self love. sexuality. and pussy power! PYNK is the color that unites us all, for pink is the color found in the deepest and darkest nooks and crannies of humans everywhere... PYNK is where the future is born," notes the description of the song.
The singer's fourth studio album, Dirty Computer, is set to release on April 27. Watch the video for "PYNK," below:
