Unsurprisingly, the internet knew about L&#39;Officiel cover star <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/khalid-spring-issue-2019" target="_blank">Khalid</a>&rsquo;s new song before any other source. The much-anticipated song, &ldquo;TALK,&rdquo; comes after several weeks of teasing, with the R&amp;B singer posting a short video of the song playing inside of a car on <a href="https://twitter.com/thegreatkhalid/status/1092480081195261952?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1092480081195261952&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.billboard.com%2Farticles%2Fcolumns%2Fpop%2F8496385%2Fkhalid-new-song-talk-release-date" target="_blank">Twitter</a> on January 27th, spurring fan reactions begging for a drop. &nbsp;Now in February and a few weeks out from the hysteria the post ensued, fans are no less anxious to hear what they expect to be Khalid&rsquo;s newest masterpiece.

Khalid took to <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/BtjTGJ1l5z-/" target="_blank">Instagram</a> on Monday to announce that he would be releasing a new single this coming Thursday, succinctly writing &ldquo;TALK THURSDAY ;).&rdquo; &nbsp;This may seem straightforward enough, but the reminder of what had yet to come fueled fans&rsquo; enthusiastic anticipation of Khalid&rsquo;s newest musical project.&nbsp;&nbsp;

What is presumably the chorus played on loop, with Khalid crooning, &ldquo;Can we just talk, can we just talk, talk about where we&rsquo;re going?&rdquo; &nbsp;The music was overlayed on a mesmerizing graphic of a wolf and flames slowly rocking side to side, with the title of the single hovering just above the intriguing album art.

In the newly released&nbsp;song, Khalid takes a fresh approach to his music as well lyricism, offering his personal feelings about relationships and the common error of escalating things too quickly.&nbsp; Khalid teams with Disclosure to create an upbeat and mesmerizing tune that explores more emotional depths than the typical R&amp;B track, with Khalid&#39;s genuine feelings pouring out through&nbsp;each word.&nbsp;&nbsp;
