Ever since global superstar Bad Bunny gave 128.2 million viewers a taste of sazón, it seems like non-Spanish speakers are finally tuning into the discographies of Latino music artists. In fact, according to a 2023 Luminate study, 24% of American music listeners engage with Spanish tunes, even though Latinos represent about 20% of the United States population at nearly 67 million.
Whether it be record-breaking successes like Karol G becoming the first woman and Colombian to have a Spanish-language album achieve No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for her 2023 album Mañana Será Bonito or collaborations with Western icons like Snoop Dogg, Madonna, and Dua Lipa, Latino acts have continued to dominate in the industry, especially as they bring distinct cultural elements to their music.&nbsp;
Yet, in recent times, a key style has become vital to many musicians' identity and development as artists: Electronic. Sure, you have your powerhouses like LCD Soundsystem and Daft Punk becoming the faces of the genre, while names like David Guetta and Diplo tapping Latino performers to join their computer-heavy tracks. But the rise of Latino artists using electronic synths is growing day-by-day.
Ahead of the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Award nominations being announced next month, take a trip with L'OFFICIEL as we explore artists across Latin America who have contributed to the popularization of Latinos implementing electronic instruments into their sound.

If you are locked into the world of electronic, you most definitely recognize this artist. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Alejandra Ghersi Rodríguez, professionally known as Arca, would often listen to her older brother's music collection as a child. When her family returned to Caracas after living in Connecticut, she began playing the friction drum and made her own music on FL Studio. The artist got her start as Nuuro before slowly growing in Venezuela, programming synthesizers on La Vida Bohème's Nuestra album, and attending the Clive David Institute of Recorded Music at New York University. In February 2012, she introduced herself as Arca with her debut EP, Baron Libre, which led to collaborations with artists such as Kanye West, Björk, and Beyoncé. Last month, XXXXX, Arca's ninth studio album, was released, and the artist continues to bring her experimental Latina flair to the electronic scene.&nbsp;

Imagine a world where <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/slayyyter-mac-makeup-brand-new-chanels-worst-man-in-america-album-fashion-style-clothes-performance-lollapalooza">Slayyyter'</a>s unapologetic sound beautifully clashed with Peso Pluma's classic corrido touch? Thankfully, it doesn't have to be a dream since Mexican singer-songwriter FLVCKKA is on the scene. From Chihuahua, Mexico, Sofía Morán has captured the hearts of millions of fans through her compelling sound, especially in the Latino electronic space. Between Guadalajara and Mexico City, FLVCKKA seamlessly blends hyperpop, funk, malianteo, trap, and electronic into her catchy anthems. Collaborations with Chino Pacas, Marcos Villalobos, and angely2k have allowed her to grow in size, while still being grounded in raw moments in the margins of life. With the broader mission of making space for women in the urban genre, leading and redefining on their own terms, FLVCKKA is an artist to be on the lookout for, especially in future endeavors.&nbsp;

Heading down south, Argentinian record producer, songwriter, and DJ Bizarrap has become a global sensation. Born Gonzalo Julián Conde in Ramos Mejía, the talent always had a fascination with electronic music rather than singing. At the age of 14, he enrolled in piano classes and started to make his own songs. However, it wasn't until 2017 that Bizzarrap's career started with "Combos Locos" before remixing songs from artists like Paulo Londra, Dani, and Khea. A year later, "Bzrp Music Sessions" kicked off with Kodigo, and he later collaborated with artists like Nicki Nicole, Shakira, and Peso Pluma. Fresh off Volume 42/66 with Puerto Rican rapper Myke Towers, there's a lot of Bizzarap to enjoy and catch up on.

Do you have the urge to jam out to disco-funk synths with an electronic twist? Chihuahua-born five-piece Midnight Generation is here to get you moving in live sets and on the go. Led by Fernando Mares, the Mexican band is what it is to members Luis Carlos "Bica" Valderrama, Carlos Amaya, Samuel Márquez, and Diego Bustillos. '80s-inspired sounds, funk, and indie electronic come together in performances that easily take fans to the dance floor. As Midnight Generation garnered a larger fanbase throughout 2025, they joined Sony Music and Warner Chappell to solidify themselves as one of the most lively and ambitious acts the Mexican contemporary world has seen in recent times. Since May, the band has joined Empire of the Sun, Jamiroquai, and Purple Disco Machine on a world tour, which ends on November 8 in Rio de Janeiro. Whether you catch them live or explore their discography, you'll have to thank Midnight Generation for changing the way you see Latino electronic music.

Popular in the Mexican music scene, RØZ has contributed much to the new wave of electronic music. Comprised of Manolo Cabrera and Hugo Lara, the duo not only seeks to make an impact on a musical level but also to bring their high-level energy to clubs, festivals, and other events. Ever since their upbringing, they've been aware of each other's interest in music. But it wasn't until the pandemic that they grew closer, found their own sound, and formed RØZ. In 2022, the pair's debut single "What You Want" allowed them to make waves in the electronic community. From collaborations with artists like Yng Lvcas, Rauw Alejandro, and DannyLux to an upcoming North American tour, RØZ is here to stay for the long run.

"Y solo mírame con esos ojito' lindo' / Que con eso yo estoy bien / Hoy he vuelto a nacer." If you had Bad Bunny's iconic 2022 studio album Un Verano Sin Ti on repeat as most of us did, then you are already familiar with this romantic lyric by Bomba Estéreo. Founded in Bogotá in 2005, the Colombian band was founded by Simón Mejía. However, the person who is responsible for the lyrics of iconic tracks like "Soy yo" and "Me Pasa (Piscis)" is none other than Santa Marta-born singer and rapper Liliana "Li" Saumet. Other members include Jaime Alzate, Jose Castillo, Andrés Zea, and Efrain Cuadrado "Pacho Carnaval." Known for their electro-tropical sound, each one of their tracks sounds like a fresh walk on the beach. If you want to embark on this psychedelic cumbia sound, Bomba Estéreo will be in Madrid on August 8 and in Santiago, Chile on October 25.

If you're like me, you probably had a tribalero phase growing up that was soundtracked by songs like "Inténtalo (feat. América Sierra &amp; El Bebeto)" and "Besos al Airé (feat. América Sierra &amp; Smoky)." Nevertheless, the great minds behind those 2010 classics continue to show the world how Mexican electronic truly goes down. 3BallMTY, pronounced "Tribal Monterrey," hail from Monterrey, Nuevo León, with Erick Rincon joining DJs Sergio Zavala and Alberto Presenda. Forming in August 2009, the trio wanted to redefine how performance and production were conceived in the Latino electronic space. Nearly seven beautiful years later, Rincon left the group to focus on solo endeavors. After an eight-year hiatus, the boys are back together and on the road for the "Club Conexión Tour: Phase 2." From nostalgic classics to festival takeovers, 3BallMTY has and will continue to be one of the defining sounds of the Latino electronic space.

When Luján, Argentina-born Natalia Peluso first grew an interest in the performing arts, she took her talents to local hotels and restaurants to perform covers. Moving to Barcelona, releasing two projects in two years, and signing a record deal with Sony Music Spain, the artist we know as Nathy Peluso is only growing as a talent. From her 2020 "Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 36" collaboration with Bizarrap to her 2021 Latin Grammy win for Best Alternative Music Album under the breakthrough album Calambre, she released songs like "Gato Malo" with Karol G, "Mafiosa," and "Pa Mis Muchachas" alongside Christina Aguilera, Becky G, and Nicki Nicole. After the release of sophomore project Grasa and EP MALPORTADA, Peluso dropped electronic, dance-inspired project CLUB GRASA. Featuring a salsa vibe, the project had a Boiler Room in Ibiza last summer, and features acts like TRISTÁN!, Mura Masa, and CA7RIEL &amp; Paco Amoroso. Needless to say, the multi-genre compilation is still living free in our electronic-loving minds.

Wanting more of a niche yet cool act to follow? Well, LA-based musician Rommulas is the perfect fit. Even though he was on tour with 2hollis and The Hellp earlier this year, the 22-year-old talent of Mexican descent has become a star on his own through the track "left to right," which was featured on his debut album ANIMÁL last December. The hyperpop-reggaeton track featured lyrics in English and Spanish, which evoked a raunchy yet compelling sound. Even though there isn't much publicly available about Rommulas, just take a listen to "PALETA," embody his mysterious energy, and catch him live alongside 2hollis and Nate Sib in "The Star Tour," running from September 19 to November 27.

If there had to be an artist who is truly shaking up the ways one listens to an album, it would have to be GIULIA BE. Born Giulia Bourguignon Marinho in Rio de Janeiro, she sang "She Will Be Loved" with Maroon 5 in their dressing room during Rock in Rio 2017, and she was praised by guitarist Mickey Madden. After leaving school to pursue a music career, the artist signed with Warner Music, debuted the song "With You" alongside Zerb, and continued to contribute to her discography in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. After starring in Netflix's Beyond the Universe in 2022, GIULIA BE released a trilingual album in July 2026. Tracks from the self-titled album, like "fool for love" and "poltergeist," not only feature groovy, electronic rhythms but can easily be transformed into tracks worth dancing to on and off the dance floor. Let's just say, the two-time Latin Grammy-nominated singer should dabble more in the electronic sound.
