Karl Lagerfeld Gets Political with Angela Merkel Caricature

The designer was outraged that the far right took 13% of seats in parliament.

In a recent cartoon for political German magazine Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Lagerfeld criticizes his home country's Chancellor, Angela Merkel, for allowing the far right party to obtain 13% of the seats in parliament in a recent election. Floating ominously over Merkel's shoulder is Hitler.

In English, the accompanying text reads: “Thank you very much for inadvertently allowing my descendants to be represented in parliament.”
