Ethan Slater portrayed Spongebob Squarepants in the Broadway musical. This popular musical premiered in June 2016 in Chicago before reaching Broadway in December 2017. Nickelodeon also televised a version of the musical&mdash;"The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage!" in 2019 for fans who didn't make it to the theaters. Slater starred in the live shows and Nickelodeon's recording.&nbsp;

He was nominated for a Tony Award in 2018

In 2018, Ethan Slater was nominated for his portrayal of SpongeBob SquarePants in the musical. While he didn't win Best Actor in a Musical that year, he did win the Outer Critics Circle Award, the Drama Desk Award, and the Theatre World Award for Best Performance in a Broadway Debut.

If you watch "Law &amp; Order" carefully, it seems like you can catch a glimpse of almost any television or Hollywood celebrity. You can catch Ethan Slater on a 2018 episode of "Law &amp; Order: Special Victims Unit."&nbsp;

He's Currently Cast as Boq in the Production of Wicked

You may already know he's in "Wicked"&mdash;rather famously, that's where everyone assumes his relationship with Ariana Grande started. But you might not know who he plays. He's cast as Boq, a munchkin who fell in love with Glinda (portrayed by Ariana Grande), and he's currently slated to pick up the role again in 2025 for Wicked Part Two. The cast also includes famous names like Michelle Yeoh and Peter Dinklage.

Ethan Slater is primarily known for his musical roles in theater productions&mdash;and his current relationship with Ariana Grande. He recorded music in 2019, releasing "Richmond Rewrites" and "Wanderer," and then released "Life Is Weird" in 202. Slater also has cast recordings for "Edge of the World" and "Assassins."
