Between viral red carpet moments and plenty of awards, the ladies representing the smash-hit film are this season's ultimate winners.

Since its release in June 2025, Netflix's animated film KPop Demon Hunters has become a veritable worldwide sensation. For fans of all ages, the film isn't just a fun watch that entertains and delights&mdash;the songs, characters' style, and messages behind each plot choice have resonated deeply.&nbsp;
Over the course of the 2026 season, KPop Demon Hunters has taken home dozens of awards at ceremonies across the world, illustrating the impact behind the movie.&nbsp;
At the 2026 Academy Awards, often recognized as the most monumental ceremony on the awards track, KPop Demon Hunters won big yet again. In both of the categories it was nominated for, Best Original Song and Best Animated Feature Film, KPop Demon Hunters prevailed. Beyond the major awards themselves, the team behind the movie also had several buzzy moments throughout the 2026 Oscars show.&nbsp;
As the evening progressed, fans at home and the team at the Oscars both eagerly awaited for the Best Animated Feature Film presentation. Luckily, the unveiling of the award was well worth the wait, and the film took home the honor. Maggie Kang, co-director of KPop Demon Hunters, delivered a speech honoring the work put into the film and the meaning behind the win.&nbsp;
&ldquo;For those of you who look like me,&rdquo; Kang said.&nbsp;&ldquo;I&rsquo;m so sorry that it took us so long to see us in a movie like this. But it is here. And that means the next generation don&rsquo;t have to go longing. This is for Korea and for Koreans everywhere.&rdquo;
Later in the evening, Ejae, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna, the voices behind the film's now-Oscar winning song, "Golden," took to the stage to perform the chart-topping song, bidding&nbsp;adieu to the KPop Demon Hunters awards season run. Clad in matching white and gold-accented ensembles, the trio's passionate live rendition of the song proved exactly why it has resonated so deeply with audiences.&nbsp;
