Who Is Dylan Meyer? Meet the Screenwriter, Kristen Stewart's Wife
Attention is on the screenwriter after she and Kristen Stewart exchanged vows on April 20 in an intimate ceremony.
Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer's happily ever after is just beginning. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles on, coincidentally, Easter Sunday. Images obtained by TMZ show the newlyweds exchanging rings, with Meyer wearing a sheer white dress and Stewart wearing a white mini dress. While the guest list has remained under wraps, Ashley Benson and her husband, Brandon Davis, were among those confirmed to have attended the private celebration.
Stewart and Meyer started dating in 2019, shortly after the Twilight actor split from Stella Maxwell that same year. Meyer made their relationship Instagram-official in spring 2020 to celebrate Stewart's thirtieth birthday. The pair has kept much of their relationship private, and in 2021, during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Stewart confirmed that Meyer took the initiative and proposed. "I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted. And, you know, she nailed it. It was really cute. She did very well," she said.
The Spencer actor has also been vocal about their plans of starting a family while chatting with Amanda Hirsh on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast in early 2024. "We've done really annoying things like freeze our eggs and stuff," she told the podcast host. "So if we want to, we can."
Following the joyful news, people are asking: Who is Stewart's new wife, Dylan Meyer?
Meyer is the daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer and has paved a path for herself in the entertainment industry in front of and behind the camera. She's a screenwriter, like her father, and an actor. She has written and co-written for films and television series, including XOXO (2016), Miss 2059 (2017-2018), An American Pickle (2020), Moxie (2021), and her upcoming film The Wrong Girls.
She also has acting credits in short films, including The Death and Return of Superman, Wrestling Isn't Wrestling, and Jem Reacts to the New Jem and the Holograms Trailers. She briefly appeared on Homemade, a TV series composed of short films by filmmakers during the COVID-19 pandemic, alongside Stewart. As a writer, she stood in unity with the Writers Guild of America during the writers' strike in 2023. She took to Instagram to voice her support and remind people that writers are a vital part of Hollywood's survival. "Without writers, your movies and tv shows will suck. Trust. Our fight for fair wages is so important we’ve been forced to walk around and wave signs about it—and we need your support! If you love stories, tell the studios to value the storytellers!" Meyer wrote in a caption.
Stewart and Meyer support each other's careers, and they vocalize their support either on social media or in interviews. The couple is teaming up to work on the stoner-girl comedy The Wrong Girls, which will star Stewart alongside Seth Rogan, Alia Shawkat, and Kumail Nanjiani. The film is currently in production.
