A sheer cathedral veil and blush lace gown transformed the red carpet into a Gothic bridal fantasy.

If there was ever a moment destined for bridal drama without the wedding, Charli XCX delivered it at the Wuthering Heights premiere. Perhaps she's still basking in being a new bride, from her wedding with The 1975 member George Daniel back in July. Skipping the predictable red-carpet formula altogether, the pop provocateur arrived veiled, wearing a pale blush, off-the-shoulder Erdem gown topped with a sheer cathedral-length veil that felt equal parts Gothic romance and anti-bride fantasy.
The gown itself leaned Victorian in spirit but modern in all the right ways. Soft pink lace cascaded to the floor in a full skirt, while the neckline sat delicately off the shoulders, exposing collarbones. But at the center of the dress was its most arresting detail: a black, dripping corset motif that ran vertically down the bodice, like ink bleeding through tulle. It was bridalwear reimagined through a darker lens.&nbsp;

Then there was the veil. Long and intentionally severe, it softened Charli&rsquo;s face while adding an eerie, cinematic weight to the look. Worn loose over sleek, center-parted hair, the veil evoked an unmistakable nod to Wuthering Heights&rsquo;s drama.&nbsp;
Charli has never played by red carpet rules, and this appearance was no exception. The look sat somewhere between a couture bride and a ghostly muse. If everyone else came in gowns, Charli came in character.
