It was announced earlier this year that the three-time Grammy winner would be one of the co-chairs for the 2023 Met Gala, alongside <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/met-gala-2023-details-karl-lagerfeld-theme-hosts" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Michaela Coel</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/penelope-cruz-best-on-screen-fashion-moments-movies">Pen&eacute;lope Cruz</a>, and Roger Federer. Last year, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/dua-lipa-accused-plagiarism-levitating-lawsuit-controversy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dua Lipa</a> wasn't able to make her red carpet appearance because she was on tour in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/celebrity-influencer-fashion-trends-london-fashion-week-fall-winter-2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">London</a>, but this year will be the year. The singer hasn't attended the event since 2019, so there was no doubt that she'd have something exciting in store for her big return celebrating this year's theme, "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty."
Dua Lipa arrived wearing a vintage, white bridal gown by Chanel from the Fall/Winter 1992 Haute Couture collection &mdash; a beautiful ode to the late designer. Originally worn on the runway by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cara-delevingne-claudia-schiffer-karl-lagerfeld-muses-fashion-legacy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Claudia Schiffer</a>, the dress encapsulates the delicacy and sophistication of Lagerfeld's craftsmanship. In contrast to this year's look, in 2019, the star was dressed in a custom-made <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/lady-gaga-wears-versace-to-the-2023-academy-awards" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Versace</a> gown crafted from bright purple and green fabrics for the theme "Notes on Camp," but this year, Lipa has made it her mission to embody everything the late designer stood for.

As one of the most respected and admired musicians of her time, there is no surprise that she was chosen as a co-chair for this year's Met Gala. Her style, however, has also been recognized throughout the years. She has dabbled in the world of fashion, being a brand ambassador for Versace and always being one of the best dressed at any event. From sequin body suits to bold minidresses, Lipa has always stood out in a crowd.&nbsp;
