During a speech in Congress to mark <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/politics-culture/president-joe-biden-young-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden's</a> first 100 days in the <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/moda/por-que-kamala-harris-michelle-obama-e-hillary-clinton-usaram-looks-roxos">presidency of the United States</a>, his wife sported a black dress and mask by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/gabriela-hearst-chloe-debut-fall-winter-2021-sustainability" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gabriela Hearst</a>. With transparent sleeves and embroidered flowers, the style is elegant and refined, but does not neglect comfort.
According to the brand, the dress was made with pre-existing materials, showing a sustainable vision for fashion and something that Jill values.

It is a dress very similar to the ivory one she wore on the night of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/joe-biden-kamala-harris-families-inauguration-day-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Biden's inauguration</a>, which paid a beautiful tribute to the United States in her look. The embroidery of both dresses features 51 flowers, making a reference to the 50 states of the country, as well as the District of Columbia (Washington, DC).
About the original white dress worn by the First Lady, the brand's website reveals: "Unity makes strength and it is needed for the road ahead. The blooming symbol to represent this message are the federal flowers from every state and territory of the United States of America."
For an even more thoughtful touch, the flower of Delaware, the Bidens' home state, is sewn to align with the First Lady's heart.
