Throughout his time in the spotlight, fans have witnessed his evolution firsthand&mdash;from his signature side-swoop transforming into a buzzcut to his transition from purple-loving outfits to effortlessly laid-back sweats. For a better understanding of how far the pop star has come, L'OFFICIEL celebrates his 31st birthday by looking back on Bieber's ever-changing fashion.

At the start of his career, a 15-year-old Bieber was known for rocking the color purple and his love for chunky footwear.

During his "My World Tour," the singer wore a white hoodie jacket and jeans with purple sneakers. The outfit is featured in his "Lonely" music video 10 years later.

After some experience in the biz, the teen idol appears at the 2011 MTV VMAs in red pants, cheetah-print sneakers, and a long gold chain.

By 2012, the Biebs was no longer sporting his signature 'do. Here, he's spotted with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez in baggy jeans and oversized white sneakers.

At the Met Gala 2015, Balmain decked out the heartthrob in a velvet tuxedo jacket with golden dragon embroidery.

The "Boyfriend" singer arrives to the 2015 AMAs in a long graphic Nirvana t-shirt and ripped jeans.

In 2016, Bieber debuts a platinum 'do, while keeping his street style relatively casual.

A year later, the musician opts for a shaved head and has refined his wardrobe choices.

By the end of the 2010s, the popstar has finally taken the plunge into marriage with model Hailey Bieber. The two are often spotted showing off their street style, including Justin's Hawaiian shirt and jean shorts combo here.

Boasting some controversial facial hair, the singer steps out in a matching suit from his own fashion label, House of Drew, and an L.A. Lakers jacket.

While quarantining during the coronavirus pandemic, Bieber made a special appearance alongside Drake and DJ Khaled in the music video for their song "Popstar." He wears a kaleidoscopic matching jumpsuit.

To ring in 2021, the Biebers opt for formal attire, though Justin adds in a black baseball cap.

The singer has kept his fashion chic, wearing a red jacket with numerous patches over a white tee and black jeans.

Bieber has had quite the phase of only wearing "drew" merch, often wearing it from head to toe.

Easily one of his most iconic outfits within the past few years has been this very casual laid-back look while supporting Hailey Bieber's Rhode campaign. The vast difference in the couple's attire created a meme, with some couples dressing up as this for Halloween.
