Among 22 semi-finalists, the luxury conglomerate has selected its 9 finalists for the esteemed LVMH Prize.

On March 24, LVMH announced its nine finalists for the prestigious <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/lvmh-prize-2022-finalists-erl-knwls-ss-daley-tokyo-james-fashion-design-award" target="_blank" rel="noopener">LVMH Prize</a> and the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/disney-tv-series-karl-lagerfeld-karl-kaiser" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karl Lagerfeld</a> Prize. Selected from a pool of 22 semi-finalists, these nine young designers represent the future of fashion spanning representation across eight countries and various design aesthetics. The chosen winner will be decided on June 7, with this year's Jury consisting of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/jw-anderson-interview-mens-spring-summer-2022-cruise-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jonathan Anderson</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/every-look-dior-spring-summer-2022-pfw-runway" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Maria Grazia Chiuri</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/naomi-osaka-tennis-louis-vuitton-nicolas-ghesquiere" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nicolas Ghesqui&egrave;re</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/marc-jacobs-heaven-cultural-zeitgeist-fashion-collections-trends" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Marc Jacobs</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/fendi-releases-photography-book-the-fendi-set-nikolai-von-bismarck" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kim Jones</a>, Nigo, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/stella-mccartney-sustainability-shoes-bags" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Stella McCartney</a>, and Silvia Venturini Fendi, as well as Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie, and Sidney Toledano.&nbsp;
"The semi-final of the tenth edition of the Prize has highlighted a great maturity in the approach and work of the designers,"&nbsp; Arnault said in the press release. "Cultural diversity, celebration of traditional crafts, and creative audacity define this selection. Naturally, the finalists are fully engaged in dealing with environmental issues and play with the boundaries between menswear and womenswear. Their expertise, their creativity, their uniqueness, and their commitment have truly impressed me."
As a continuous resource to help nourish emerging talent, the winners will receive a 10,000 euro endowment and the opportunity to join one of LVMH's Houses design studios for a year. Aaron Esh is an eponymous London-based menswear label. Its designs challenge traditional codes of masculinity with reworked silhouettes, subtle twists, and finding strength in elegance and romance.&nbsp;

Founded by Julia Pelipas, Bettter is a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/prada-fall-winter-2023-collection-runway-looks-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ukrainian</a> womenswear label that "redesigns existing clothing without breaking down product into raw materials and turn them into something new." The brand aims to question ways fashion can combat overconsumption and overproduction with better strides towards a zero-waste model.

The eponymous French brand Burc Akyol is a genderless clothing line defined as "a mixture of sexy and austerity." The high-quality garments are created with a made-to-order model and are sustainably produced when possible, combatting overconsumption and doing what it can to help better conserve our planet.

New York-based womenswear brand Diotima was founded by Rachel Scott, a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/rockhouse-jamaican-hotel-bella-hadid-hailey-baldwin-emily-ratajkowski" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jamaican</a>-born designer who infuses her Caribbean roots into her design style. She connects her cultural roots to her contemporary designs by collaborating with local artists and craftspeople when conceptualizing techniques and textiles.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/luar-fall-2019" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Luar</a> is an American-based line founded by Raul Lopez&mdash;the 2022&nbsp;CFDA fashion award winner for American Accessory Design. The Dominican-American designer creates clothes that are sexy, structured, and powerful&mdash;for menswear, womenswear, and genderless categories.

Italian menswear brand Magliano was created by Luca Magliano. The label is "heavily inspired by quintessentially Italian subcultures and movements," interpreting menswear silhouettes with a disorderly attitude

Paolina Russo is an eponymous Canadian-born, London-based label specializing in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/sustainable-knitwear-fashion-shopping-cashmere-wool" target="_blank" rel="noopener">knitwear</a>. Russo's signature knits are crafted with reimagined traditional knitting techniques and imbue her creations with nostalgic touches.&nbsp;

Veronica Leoni is the creative behind QUIRA, an Italian-based womenswear label that is "a great story of artistic audacity, bold style, and playful elegance." Leoni has a strong penchant for tailoring with many of her looks taking on sharp yet unique silhouette structures.

Genderless-designed line Setchu was founded by Satoshi Kuwata, a <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/hermes-geta-bag-japanese-footwear-inspired" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Japanese</a> designer that aims for the label to represent "the blending of Japanese and Western concepts - the compromise between the two cultures." Kuwata accomplishes this by designing functional pieces through this cross-cultural lens and also highlights Setchu's focus on interchangeability and unisex fashion.&nbsp;
