After three memorable ceremonies over the summer of 2025, Nigerian actress Temi Otedola and Afrobeats musician Mr Eazi are officially married.&nbsp;
Ahead of their final wedding at Hallgrimskirkja church in Iceland, Otedola and Eazi, who met back in 2017, had two previous nuptials&mdash;a chic, intimate civil ceremony in Monaco and a traditional Nigerian wedding ceremony held in Otedola's family home in <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/zegna-spring-summer-2026-runway-show-dubai-watch" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dubai</a>.&nbsp;
While Otedola had a wide variety of wedding looks, all styled by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/carrielauren/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Carrie Goldberg</a> of CLG Creative, it was her final wedding dress&mdash;a romantic, yet sophisticated custom <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/fendi-brand-history-karl-lagerfeld-silvia-venturini-career" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fendi</a> gown&mdash;that stole the show, but as with any couture look, the process didn't happen overnight.
Rather, it was two years in the making, Otedola tells L'OFFICIEL, and the actress and Goldberg worked together every step of the way to ensure the church dress&mdash;worn while walking down the aisle&mdash;was the one of her dreams.
After months of debating between different designers and styles, Otedola and Goldberg landed on Fendi.&nbsp;
"[Fendi] just rang bells in my head because everything about this wedding felt personal, and it felt unique to me. I wanted everything to feel unique&mdash;definitely not a wedding dress that you feel like you've seen before. It's always classic style with a twist [for me]," Otedola says. "My dream inspiration is Audrey Hepburn's 1954 wedding." The actress added that she's had the Roman Holiday&nbsp;actress's wedding dress saved to her laptop for years, so drawing inspiration from it for her own wedding day felt like a major full-circle moment&mdash;especially considering that it was <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/audrey-hepburn-feathery-red-givenchy-dress-cfda-fashion-awards-1989" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hepburn</a> who inspired Otedola to pursue acting in the first place.&nbsp;
Otedola says that <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/best-on-screen-movie-wedding-dresses-bridal-jlo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">vintage, sophisticated styles</a> were at the front of her mind throughout the process, and explains that details like voluminous sleeves, a high collar, a cinched waist, and light, airy fabric were top priorities.&nbsp;

In early conceptions of the custom dress, Goldberg and the Fendi team worked to bring Otedola's dreamy vision to life, but the pieces really fell into place when the house's design team presented a silk organza in a print that Fendi specifically engineered during the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/karl-lagerfeld-a-fashion-history-book-biography" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karl Lagerfeld</a> era.&nbsp;
"Originally, the dress was not in this fabric, but there was a desire to make [the dress] feel more unique to Temi, more unique to Iceland, and more unique to the church itself," Goldberg says.
"It was something that they had presented to me for another project that I loved, but never saw executed. We just applied it to the silhouette that Temi had fallen in love with, and it just became something that I don't think has been done before," she adds. "I think it's so unique to this particular wedding and this bride."&nbsp;
Otedola also explains that she hadn't seen the marble-patterned organza on the dress until the final fitting, just months before the Iceland wedding. "I just had to be confident with it. When I saw it in person, though, I was like 'Okay, we've made the right decision,' and from then on, it was just falling in love with it."

Like any <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/avant-garde-haute-couture-dior-chanel-fendi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">haute couture</a> creation, as Goldberg explains, part of the "magical experience" is the "surprise and delight" that comes with the adjustments made along the way. Throughout the design and fitting process, the dress appeared in four or five different versions before Goldberg and Otedola settled on a final design.&nbsp;
The duo also shares that one of the challenges of the design process was creating the dress to cater to the church's massive, striking architectural components.
"It had to be as imposing as the building. When I was walking down the aisle, which was much too long," Otedola jokes, "the dress was able to fill the space, but at the same time, the fabric was so light. This is the one thing that just doesn't carry over to the photos&mdash;when I was wearing it, it was literally floating above the ground. As soon as I put it on, I was able to move and feel free."&nbsp;
To account for the open, expansive venue, Goldberg and the Fendi design team decided to add a petticoat for volume and extended the hem of the dress, carefully adjusting measurements ever so slightly to balance the proportions of the dress, the bride, and the church.&nbsp;

"This is the dress I wanted to be perfect," Otedola says. "This is the dress that's the center of our story, so I wanted to make sure it fit into the landscape of Iceland as well."
She explains that the gray rocky slate that made up the landscape was instrumental in her and Goldberg's decision to shift away from lace towards the marbled organza. "It made sense to do the gray patterning, so it felt like I was organically growing alongside the stone in the church."
Throughout the fitting process, only Goldberg, the Fendi design team, and Otedola's mother were present, so on the day of the ceremony, the custom dress was a total surprise to the bride's loved ones.&nbsp;

"The crazy thing about this dress is that the silhouette is very traditional in a way, but it's that juxtaposition of the fabric and the lightness of the material alongside it that makes it so me," the bride says.&nbsp;
On the big day, the reveal was monumental.
"My husband was so shocked, in the best way," the actress says. "He was like 'I couldn't even imagine what the dress would look like, but this exceeded it.'" Eazi saw the dress for the first time as the couple arrived at the church. As it fluttered in the Icelandic wind against the backdrop of the church's gray slate, Otedola's dress was a vision of soft, romantic <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/lingerie-inspired-silk-dresses-for-fall" target="_blank" rel="noopener">silk</a> organza, perfectly befitting the bride herself, and the couple's journey throughout their marriage ceremonies.
