With her career starting in 1990 with a supporting role in the film Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, Julianne Moore has since taken on several legendary figures on the silver screen. The actor is a force to be reckoned with (which extends to her fashion, too).

Usually opting to tackle feminist, strong-willed, or powerful women, Moore received her well-deserved Academy Award in 2015 for her role as a middle-aged professor with Alzheimer's disease in 2014's Still Alice. The actor, who has a degree in theatre from Boston University, has played a wide range of characters, proving her prowess across genre over the years. After college, she acted in soap operas like As The World Turns. Moore, who has a penchant for independently made pictures, has acted in films such as Safe, where she stars as a suburban housewife who develops a mysterious illness.
