The cast of Shonda Rhimes' record-breaking Netflix series returns to set to film the highly anticipated second season.

Update: It seems Lady Whistledown got it wrong. Bridgerton actress Nicola Coughlan clarified that the show has not started filming again. Actor Luke Newton also edited his post to specift that his photos were from the filming of the first season.
Less than three months after the show's premiere, the cast of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/bridgerton-netflix-costume-designer-ellen-mirojnick-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bridgerton</a> has returned to London as filming commences on<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/bridgerton-season-2-netflix-anthony-bridgerton-simon-bassett" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Season 2</a>. The <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/bridgerton-instagram-style-regency-trend" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Regency</a>-era hit saw record-setting streaming numbers in the weeks after its debut as households around the world fell in love with the lead characters Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings, played by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/phoebe-dynevor-bridgerton-actress-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Phoebe Dynevor</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/rege-jean-page-age-dating-facts-bridergton" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reg&eacute;-Jean Page</a>, as they navigated the trials and tribulations of London's high society while trying to save face for the town's own Gossip Girl, Lady Whistledown.&nbsp;
Luke Newton, who plays Daphne's younger brother Colin, shared a series of moments from set on Instagram with co-stars <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/meet-the-cast-of-bridgerton-netflix-shonda-rhimes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jonathan Bailey</a> and Luke Thompson, who play his brothers in the show. He captioned the post, "The boys are back in town."
Bailey, who stars as the oldest child and head of the Bridgerton household Anthony, will take on the mantle as the subject of the forthcoming season. The season of the series, which is based on the Julia Quinn novel series of the same name, centers around one of the Bridgerton children. Following the order of the books, Season 2 will follow Anthony as he weathers another social season as his mother tries to find him a bride. Sex Education actress <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/simone-ashley-bridgerton-season-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Simone Ashley</a> will join the cast as Kate Sharma, Anthony's love interest. Kate is described as a "smart and headstrong woman," signaling trouble for the stubborn Anthony.
No word on when the second season will reach our television screens, however, fans can likely expect to see more <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/bridgerton-raunchiest-moments-sexy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">steamy sex scenes</a>, Featherington family shenanigans, and withering stares from Queen Charlotte.
