Mahershala Ali talks masculinity in the 21st century

Last night, Ermenegildo Zegna threw an intimate evening at a private Upper East Side location to celebrate yesterday's launch of the Fall 2019 campaign, "What Makes a Man?" The event's hosts included the Italian menswear label’s artistic director, Alessandro Sartori, and two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali, who is one of the faces of the campaign. Alongside Nicholas Tse, Ali and the brand confront toxic stereotypes and embrace a broader vision of masculinity. It's a message the world continues to need in order to accept people for their authentic selves, and this contribution is definitely something worth celebrating. 

The guests enjoyed cocktails in the Upper East Side residence

On a terrace with views of the city, celebrity guests, NYC notables, socialites, influencers, and close friends gathered around cocktails and small bites. The exclusive crowd included the likes of Victor Cruz, Irina Shayk, Benjamin Millepied, and Cameron Dallas, among many other famous figures. The event concluded with an open conversation between Ali and Sartori, who discussed masculinity in the 21st century as Zegna revealed its next chapter. It seems there's much to look forward to as the heritage brand uses its influence to embrace a modern, flexible view on gender roles.
