Mark your calendars, people! We finally have a date for the release of Cardi B's debut album. Yes, come April 6, we will get to listen to the highly anticipated follow-up to her previously released mixtapes: Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 1 (2016) and Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 2. (2017).
Titled Invasion of Privacy, it's a message that's as relevant as ever, considering recent reports of a massive data breach on Facebook and of course, one that Cardi herself can relate to considering the public's scrutiny over whether or not she's pregnant. It shows a different side to Cardi B, who has always been generous when it comes to sharing aspects of her life via social media.
But with a lack of privacy, comes superstardom, and that's exactly what she is on the album's cover art. It's a hodgepodge of fellow female divas. A sprinkle of Madonna here, Rihanna, Gaga, and Lil' Kim there. Wearing a voluminous black and white checkered blazer, coquettish Lolita sunglasses, and electric yellow flapper hair, Cardi B has arrived once more. And she's here to stay.
We love a legend.
