Between trending ultra-popular TikTok audios and chart-topping singles, the 20-year-old is the music industry's next big thing.&nbsp;

Chances are, if you've found yourself on social media at all in the past year or so, you've already heard Sienna Spiro, even if you don't know it yet. With a deep, soulful voice, the 20-year-old singer has already developed the voice of a well-practiced, well-revered artist. In songs like "Maybe" and "Die On This Hill," the British singer sings smooth, emotional tales of heartbreak and self-confidence.&nbsp;
After her first EP was released in early 2025, Spiro's body of work quickly resonated with listeners. Though previous singles slowly but surely climbed the UK charts, "Die On This Hill" proved to be a breakout hit and launched her career to a new level. To be sure, the song has made its way to millions of playlists across the world, but it has also become something of an anthem for young Gen-Z women.

Spiro was born in London to Arabella and Glenn Spiro, a jeweller. Even as a child, Spiro was fascinated by music&mdash;she has said she began writing songs at just 10 years old&mdash;and credited her father with helping shape her wide-reaching music tastes.&nbsp;
"My dad introduced me to the greats like Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Etta James, Amy, Billie Holiday, Adele, Frank Sinatra, Donny Hathaway, Tony Bennett&hellip; the list goes on. And as much as I love a lot of modern music, those are the types of artists that taught me to sing and understand music," Spiro shared with <a href="https://tmrwmagazine.com/en/news/sienna-spiro-living-for-truth" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tmrw Magazine</a>.&nbsp;
Though Spiro attended several schools across London growing up, she ultimately ended up dropping out at 16 years old to pursue her music career.
Back in 2021, Spiro took to TikTok to share videos of her singing&mdash;both covers and original songs&mdash;and quickly found plenty of love on the platform.
"I don&rsquo;t think TikTok influences my creative process, but it definitely is a sounding board and a place of discovery, which I think is amazing," Spiro told&nbsp;10 Magazine&nbsp;in early 2025.&nbsp;
Three years later, after building a dedicated following and sharpening her own sonic skills, in early 2024, she released her first single, "Need Me." As the year progressed, she released three more hits, setting her up for a wildly successful 2025. And indeed it was, after Spiro's first-ever EP came out that February. Between an influx of followers online, an array of newly arranged performances (including a regular opening act for Sam Smith's New York City residency), and plenty of industry attention, Spiro had a banger 2025&mdash;and that was all before her breakout hit. In October, the single "Die On This Hill" was released, and Spiro almost instantly soared to new heights. She gained&nbsp;even&nbsp;more&nbsp;social media attention, including the snippet of the single that went viral with millions of uses and listens across the world.&nbsp;
"It's no one's fault, it's just the way we consume media&mdash;but because everything's in short form, and you have a 20-60 second audition, basically, when you post on TikTok, and you try to win people over with that, you start to think in that way. And I think songs, like you said, have become shorter, and I think people are taking less care in constructing these songs," Spiro told Iana Murray for <a href="https://www.ssense.com/en-us/editorial/music/sienna-spiro-is-wise-beyond-her-years" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ssense Magazine</a>. 
"It starts to create something that's not timeless, because you're thinking in such a small capacity. You can easily fall into that trap," she added.
Spiro's 2026 already shows great promise. After landing a major record label deal late last year and securing a nomination for the 2026 Brit Awards, great things are on the horizon for Spiro, to be sure. As the singer leans further into stardom, it's almost certain that she'll continue to wow fans with her alluring vocals, unique personal style, and emotional lyrics.&nbsp;
