In between attending the hottest <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/balenciaga-2024-couture-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fall/Winter 2024 couture</a> shows at <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/every-celebrity-spotted-at-fall-winter-2024-couture-week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paris Fashion Week</a>, maintaining a picture-perfect Instagram grid, and raising four young children, influencer and stylist <a href="https://www.instagram.com/pernilleteisbaek/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pernille Teisbaek</a> has curated an auction launch for 1stDibs, a new-age marketplace that boasts an impeccable collection of chic antique and vintage furniture, fashion, and art. As interest around Scandinavian fashion and design has soared online, Teisbaek has remained at the forefront of the aesthetic movement, keeping casual scrollers and longtime fans alike on their feet with her flawlessly designed home and envy-worthy style.&nbsp;
For her latest endeavor, Teisbaek incorporated a wide range of fashion and furniture including a '50s-era Pierre Jeanneret chair, a 2000s Miu Miu handbag, a Spring/Summer 2006 <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/chanel-fall-winter-2024-haute-couture-runway-show-review-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chanel</a> halterneck dress, and a '70s Christian Dior watch, among others. While many of the pieces hail from different eras, parts of the world, and overarching styles, they all boast the minimalistic, timeless, and romantic aesthetic that Teisbaek effortlessly embodies. Ahead of the latest 1stDibs auction, Pernille Teisbaek spoke to L'OFFICIEL&nbsp;on her experience curating the collection and the guiding principles behind her highly-trained eye for design.

L'OFFICIEL:&nbsp;Is there a particular time period you&rsquo;re drawn to when it comes to both clothing and furniture? Do you tend to gravitate towards a specific set of qualifications or do you just have a feeling when something works?
Pernille Teisbaek: I would say the qualifications are always if it&rsquo;s something that I see myself loving for years ahead and I can see it being styled in different ways&mdash;both clothing and furniture&mdash;then it&rsquo;s more likely to be something I would consider owning.
L'O: How was curating this collection different from other design projects you&rsquo;ve done? Was the process or the mindset different at all?
PT: I try to apply the same mindset to all projects - making sure the collection stands the test of time, rather than being only relevant for today's trends.
L'O: What draws you towards minimalistic, modern design styles in particular?
PT: I&rsquo;m drawn to pieces I know I will have years ahead - that to me often means it&rsquo;s minimal, in other words timeless. I don&rsquo;t particularly go after modern pieces, but in our recent home it created a great contrast to the very classic stucco in the ceilings and high panels.&nbsp;
L'O: To date, what is your favorite find?&nbsp;
PT: Our Eames Lounge Chair in a particular white leather that I had been looking for for years - the tone is slightly warm which I prefer together with the playful browns in the wood. This chair reminds me of my beloved grandmother, who always sat in hers and I squeezed my way in to sit on her lap, while she was watching the news.&nbsp;
L'O: When it comes to your own closet, what&rsquo;s your philosophy? Do you tend towards minimalism and a capsule wardrobe, or will you make space for a piece if you really like it?
PT: Probably the last - it really depends on the find.
L'O: If you could keep any piece of furniture from the collection, which would it be?
PT: Hmmm a good question - I&rsquo;m drawn to many of the pieces but especially the Georg Jensen silver Tazzas from 1945 - they're so beautiful and playful for a dinner setting at home.

L'O:&nbsp;What&rsquo;s your favorite area of the home to decorate/curate a space for?&nbsp;
PT: I&rsquo;ve always loved our kitchen as it&rsquo;s a room that gathers the whole family in a special way - the open space and our de Sede couch that is placed next to our kitchen island makes it feel more like a living room space where the kids can run around, take part in the cooking or hang out and play with their toys.&nbsp;
L'O: How have you been able to maintain your design while accommodating your family and young children? Has your style shifted at all as a result of balancing functionality and design?&nbsp;
PT: My style hasn't changed much in terms of both interior and fashion. My husband and I have definitely learned a lot through two different house renovations in terms of balancing functionality and design, but as two creative people we often think more about design - it&rsquo;s a constant learning process for us.
