Sacai Men's Spring 2019
A Native American tale in an urban setting, Chitose Abe continues her signature mixing of garments and genres into the summer of 2019. The denim, plaid, and brightly colored symmetrical prints contrast and reinvigorate each other in her hands, breathing new life into the jacket, skirt and dress as we know it. A nod to sportswear, the Nike-clad models also wear hooded-sweatshirts and nylon bombers – all pieced together using richly eye-catching fabrics and a mix of fluid silhouettes that makes each piece unique. Abe’s collection is a portrait of a new generation that is hybrid, a new generation that is free.
MSGM Men's Spring 2019
Creating the official uniform for summer 2019, Massimo Giorgetti’s ode to the sun merges his Rimini origins with the urban style of the Milanese streets. The tone is fun, the spirit is wild yet street-savvy, and the shorts and prints scream la dolce vita. From full patterns to sportswear pieces, Giorgetti’s take on a city-meets-seaside summer reflects an idea of La Bella Vita that is uniquely Italian.
Dries Van Noten Men's Spring 2019
Adapted to the work of one of the greatest designers of the twentieth century, Verner Panton, the Spring 2019 collection carries the sweet air of the beat generation. The sophistication of colors and patterns confronts the radical cuts, including workwear and soft-tailoring with adjusted volumes. The result is a subtle, subdued elegance that is at the core of the unique universe of Belgian fashion.
Loewe Men's Spring 2019
The collection is an ode to youth and the naive character that defines it. Jonathan Anderson's Spring 2019 collection for Loewe is fresh and joyful with colorful prints, fluid cuts, and peeks of transparency. It's a romantic manifesto to any androgynous and dreamy youth, who, despite the brutality of the world around them, has never lost hope of reaching happiness.
