Set against Isamu Noguchi's Sunken Garden, Tory Burch’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection found refinement in color, ornament, and instinct.

For Spring/Summer 2027, Tory Burch staged a study in expressive dressing against one of New York's most beautiful backdrops. The 41-look show unfolded at the Isamu Noguchi Sunken Garden, where the measured geometry and natural stones (transplanted from the Uji River in Japan) offered a quiet counterpoint to a collection alive with color, texture, and ornament. "Exploring the psychology of how women pull things together," as Burch wrote in the show notes, the collection considers dressing as a personal exercise in instinct, juxtaposition, and self-expression.&nbsp;

Against saturated turquoise panels and a runway washed in terracotta, Burch sent out a wardrobe that seemed to borrow its palette from a garden imagined at full bloom. Sea-glass greens met dusty lilacs; coral contrasted against turquoise; golden ochre appeared beside faded blue and stripes, and iridescent muted tones all complemented and softened each other. The result is eclectic without feeling chaotic, with each look thoughtfully styled and cohesive.
Rather than following a single chromatic story, the collection moved through color with the assurance of someone who knows the most interesting combinations are often the least expected. The collection understands that elegance can have a sense of humor, and plainly put, it's a confident vision of femininity and something the coolest woman in your office would wear.&nbsp;
The textures were equally expressive. A green cardigan dense with plum-colored floral embroidery, tiered yellow satin dresses, a feathered purple blouse resembling flower petals, and velvet scarves all had the richness of something discovered in an old textile archive. The color, styling, and proportions are what turned the classic Tory Burch codes into something modern and exciting. This line rewards proximity: the closer you look, the more there is to see.&nbsp;

Feathers and fringe moved with the models. Soft fabrics interrupted sharper lines. Jewelry clustered around the neck and color-coordinated leather purses became objects in their own right, feeling almost botanical, with some wrapped in feathery embellishments. The dichotomy between structure and spontaneity is central to this conversation. Minimalism isn't needed to communicate refinement here.&nbsp;

Against the calm backdrop of the Sunken Garden, the collection celebrated the imperfectly perfect logic of personal style in thoughtful, collected pieces brought to life through playful textures and unexpected pairings that coexisted beautifully.
