This underrated accessory is trending in 2025, from runways to street style, and it has the power to transform your look instantly.

Statement belts are taking over fashion in 2025 as the go-to accessory. When thinking about accessorizing an outfit, yes, it's always worth thinking about adding watches and jewelry like bracelets, rings, and necklaces. Headwear, be it hats, headbands, or scarves, can also do the trick. But don't underserve the waist area. Belts may be at the back of your mind, but current trends are about to shift that. After all, they're a quick and easy way to elevate your look, and it all starts with having the right statement belt.
A belt can complement a look in the same way a handbag or a necklace can, but belts elevate a look in ways other accessories can't. They accentuate a silhouette by defining a waistline, creating a polished and thought-out look. A skinny belt, for example, can add a bit of structure to a look, while a wide statement belt can help accentuate and cinch the waist area. If yours is brightly colored, that adds another element of play to any given look.
The best statement belts are made of high-quality materials. Leather is the classic choice for belts because of its durability, though there are some other fabrics that may work if crafted well. Luxury labels like Chloé, Brandon Maxwell, and Alaïa notably love a standout belt on the runway. It follows that they sell some of the best ones on the market today. Keep scrolling to shop the statement belt trend and see L’OFFICIEL’s top picks for the game-changing accessory.
