Summer is right around the corner, which means it is peak travel season. While most people fly commercial airlines for their business and pleasure, the rich and famous typically opt to fly in high style. Why bother with tedious airport security lines, standstill traffic, or crammed seating when you can afford the ultimate status symbol - a private jet? These opulent aircrafts - equipped with ample reclining space, advanced technology, and luxurious amenities - are also accompanied by jaw-dropping price tags. However, many wealthy public figures have spared no expense to travel in comfort and sophistication. Here are eight celebrities with some of the most expensive private jets.&nbsp;

Kim Kardashian - $150 million

Kim Kardashian is no stranger to splurging on luxury goods, including travel. <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/02/26/kim-kardashian-new-private-jet-fly-milan/">According to TMZ</a>, the billionaire businesswoman had a G65OER private jet built from scratch for $95 million in 2019. Kardashian also <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/kim-kardashian-buys-95-million-dollar-private-jet-billionare-skims#">recruited</a> acclaimed interior designers Tommy Clements and Waldo Fernandez to provide extra customizations, including cashmere embellishments, leather seating, and a cream interior, which added another $45 million to the cost.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah - $230 million&nbsp;

According to <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/indianews/article-2251335/Meet-40-billion-Sultan-flies-jumbo-jet--comes-complete-solid-gold-crystal-interior.html">The Daily Mail</a>, the Sultan of Brunei invested in a Boeing 747-400 aircraft. He did not shy away from indulgence, as he spent another $120 million to finish the extravagant jet with a gold interior, Lalique crystal, and turquoise-colored couches.&nbsp;

Drake - $185 million

According to <a href="https://simpleflying.com/drake-boeing-767-private-jet-free/">Simple Flying</a>, the rapper spent an extra $100 million on the already costly Boeing 767 private jet. Some of these features included a baby-blue-painted exterior, his signature &ldquo;OVO&rdquo; owl logo embellishment, velvet couches, gold detailing, and a luxurious entertainment room. &nbsp;

Roman Abramovich - $153 million

The Russian property developer&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN22424250/">Boeing 787</a> Dreamliner is filled with deluxe features. According to <a href="https://www.businessinsider.com/see-inside-boeing-787-private-aircraft-like-seized-roman-abramovich-2022-6">Business Insider</a>, the &ldquo;&lsquo;seven-star&rsquo; hotel experience in the sky&rdquo; includes a dining room made for up to 12 people, 18 reclining seats, crew rest areas, a living area with a flat-screen television, and a private bedroom with a connecting bathroom. &nbsp;

Kylie Jenner - $72.8 million

According to <a href="https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/1293613/kylie-jenner-72-8-million-private-jet-flies-family-celebrate-birthday/">The Sun</a>, the socialite spent $72.8 million on a Bombardier pink private jet. Some of the &ldquo;Kylie Air&rsquo;s&rdquo; amenities include ample crew rest space, a master suite, two bathrooms, and premium beige leather seats.&nbsp;

Dwayne Johnson - $65 million

According to <a href="https://simpleflying.com/the-rock-private-jets/#:~:text=The%20Gulfstream%20G650%20was%20Johnson's,his%20collection%20of%20private%20jets.">Simple Flying</a>, the blockbuster movie star owns a plane that guarantees the ultimate comfort experience. The Gulfstream G650 aircraft can generously fit up to 19 passengers and comes with state-of-the-art wooden interiors and a flat-screen TV.&nbsp;

Taylor Swift - $54 million

The superstar&rsquo;s Dassault Falcon 7X has come in handy on her record-breaking world tour. According to <a href="https://simpleflying.com/taylor-swift-private-jet-dassault-falcon/">Simple Flying</a>, the singer&rsquo;s jet can fit up to 16 people and comes with white leather cushions, multiple beds, and a sleek wooden finish.&nbsp;

Jay-Z - $40 million

The multi-Grammy award winner relies heavily on his Bombardier Challenger 850 jet for his busy schedule.
